Our annual Mission Conference is designed to showcase the work of our missionaries, generate prayer and financial support for them, and to encourage all who attend to earnestly consider missionary service themselves.
The week concludes with the Mission Pledge commitment, which gives us an opportunity to respond to the ministry of the Word and the reports of our missionaries by pledging to pray and give in support of First Presbyterian Church’s efforts for Christ’s kingdom at home and around the world.
Keynote Speaker - The Reverend Ru Sen
Ru recruits, trains and resources church planters in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune. Ru's family is from India, and he is thrilled to work strategically for the spread of the gospel in this amazing country.
Ru hails from Chapel Hill, NC and earned an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary. He is married to Kim and has two children, Jacob and Lily.
Mission Conference Ladies Lunchoeon

Men, please join us for a Steak Supper where Michael Sweet, former running back for Ole Miss turned Gateway Rescue Mission Director of Ministries will be speaking. There is no cost for dinner, but a free will offering will be taken.
Evangelism Training Seminar

As part of this year’s Mission Conference, we will be offering an interactive and practical evangelism workshop designed to help normal followers of Christ to pursue a life of friendship evangelism that actually bears fruit in the real world. This will be Friday evening (6:00 PM - 8:30 PM) and Saturday morning (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM), February 22-23 in Miller Hall. The seminar will be led by Ru Sen, and this is one of his favorite training topics. Cost is $15.00 which will cover dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday.
*Nursery and childcare through 3rd grade will be available upon request. We will have pizza and ice cream on Friday evening. Saturday morning, we will serve Chick-fil-a for breakfast and have the Living Reptile Museum to entertain.
Standing with the Church in China

Please join us for a special dessert gathering of learning and praying as we focus on the church in China. We will hear stories and first hand accounts from a variety of voices, and we will stand with our Chinese brothers and sisters in Christ as we join together in prayer for them. *Nursery and childcare through 3rd grade will be available upon request.
Dinner on the Grounds & Gateway Canned Food Drive
Sunday, February 24, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
On Sunday evening we will gather follow the evening worship service in the gym at for Dinner on the Grounds. Pulled pork, potato salad, and cole slaw will be provided, and we ask that you bring a dish to feed 6-8 people according to the assignment of your last name.
