Third Quarter Programs

Compass: Building Your Finances God’s Way

Third Quarter: February 7 – March 27
Location: Westminster Hall 202

There are a limited number of spots available for this course. For more information or to sign up, contact discipleship@fpcjackson.org. This course will transform your life and your finances. Whether you are trying to make ends meet or determine what to do with excess, this elective will give you a clear understanding of what God wants you to know about handling money. And as you apply these principles you’ll enjoy more financial health, freedom and contentment.

Evangelism Training

Third & Fourth Quarters: February 7 – May 15
Location: TBD

Jesus said to them: “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation,” Mark 16:15. Do you want to tell others about Jesus Christ but are not sure where or how to begin? Learn to share Christ for the first time; learn a clear, simple, scripture-based presentation of the gospel; and renew your zeal to share Christ at this elective.

Foundations Class

Third Quarter: February 7 – March 27
Location: Westminster Hall 204

Those interested in membership at FPC or in learning more about our church are encouraged to attend the Foundations Class. During the class, we will learn what we share in common with Bible-believing Christians, as well as about the distinctives of Presbyterianism. We will hear from ministry leaders about what’s taking place at First Pres. The Foundations Class is also a great place to meet others who have recently found a home at FPC.

Growth Class

Third Quarter: February 7 – March 27
Location: Patterson Hall

We frequently discuss truths found within Scripture, but we often do this without discussing the practice of Scripture reading and prayer. This elective will look at practical ways to engage in regular Bible reading and prayer. If you feel overwhelmed about studying the Bible or engaging in private prayer, please consider joining this Midweek elective.

Prayer Meeting & Bible Study
Location: Session Room

Join this group in the vital practice of praying together for our church body and its ministries, our community, and our mission. Each week we meet together for Bible study and corporate prayer. The Prayer Meeting is open to all ages, and any specific prayer requests can be sent to prayer@fpcjackson.org.

Discipleship Groups
Location: Various

Our Discipleship Groups (D Groups) are our church’s small-group ministry, providing multi-generational discussion on Scripture, helpful books, or other relevant studies applicable to the Christian life. We know that many people walk into this big church and feel lost. These small groups provide a way to get to grow deeper in your faith, to know, and to be known. If you are new to D Groups, we’ll find a spot for you that will encourage and challenge you! Please email discipleship@fpcjackson.org to register for a D Group.

Children’s Choirs

Children’s choirs seek to teach our young children hymns and good worship habits. Four year olds through fifth grade children are welcome to attend. Choirs sing at various times in worship services in the year.

Midweek with FPCYM

Our Youth Ministry Midweek programs meet in the Youth House as well as the Baird Center Gym for Bible study and hang out time.
