Huddle Groups are our men’s small groups made up of 10-15 men who desire to pursue fellowship across age and stage in our big church. Our hope is that our huddle groups would facilitate a place where “mentoring” relationships would develop. They are a place to stop in the grind of activities and share the joys and burdens of the day. These groups are not meant to facilitate a lengthy reading list or a box to check but meet a few times in the semester – the time and location will be determined by the leaders of each group. For more information, email David Felker.
Truth at Dawn
The Tuesday Morning Men’s Study, also known as “Truth at Dawn,” meets Tuesdays, from 6:30-7:20 AM, in Patterson Hall. This study takes a “digging deeper” approach and has covered a wide range of topics, including: the covenants, Old and New Testament surveys, a character study series called Heroes of the Faith, and the book of Galatians. Come enjoy a light breakfast and fellowship as Gary Sinclair teaches us of the grace of God toward His people to, and through, the prophet Ezekiel. Truth at Dawn’s spring series launches January 8. To sign up, please email Jenny Sanders.
Saturday Morning Prayer Breakfast
The Men’s Prayer Breakfast has been meeting at First Pres on Saturday mornings for the last 40 years. It is a rich time of fellowship for the men who participate. Our prayer time encompasses the needs of our church family and stretches across the world. Every church has its nerve centers, and the Saturday Morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast is one of the strongest ones here at First Pres. We meet every Saturday morning in Miller Hall from 7:30-8:30 AM. Several men arrive early to prepare a full Southern breakfast. Cost for the breakfast is $1 – the best $1 breakfast in Jackson!
