Reverend Josh Rieger
Rev.
Josh Rieger was raised in Burke, Virginia. He graduated from
The University of Arizona in 2000, and received his commission
in the United States Navy on the same day. He served in the U.
S. Navy for 7 years as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer and
Navigator on two different destroyers and as the
Officer-In-Charge of officer recruiting for the state of South
Carolina. He was resigned his commission in 2007 to come to
Jackson both to attend seminary at Reformed Theological
Seminary and to serve on the staff at FPCJ.
While in seminary Josh served as
the Christian Education Intern. He received his M.Div. (2010) from
Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson. Shortly before graduation
he received a call from Mission to the World to serve as a church
planter in Northeast England. During the support raising process,
in the absence of a Minister of Discipleship and a Minister of
Young Adults Josh then served for 18 months as the Coordinator of
Discipleship and Young Adults.
In late 2011 Josh began to serve
FPCJ as the Minister of Administration in the interim during the
search for a new Executive Minister.
