Reverend William C. Hughes
Born
in Louisville, Kentucky, Bill is a graduate of Belhaven College.
He attended Covenant Theological Seminary and graduated from
Columbia Theological Seminary in 1965.
Ordained by St. Andrews Presbytery,
he was first called to the Weir field as pastor, and then accepted a call from the
First Presbyterian Church in Indianola. He later served as
an associate pastor at the Trinity Presbyterian Church
in Montgomery, Alabama, with the Dr. Robert Strong. He was then
pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Yazoo City, Mississippi.
Since 1983 Bill has served as the
Executive Minister of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson.
He and his wife Mary Ann have two
adult children and two grandsons.
