Genesis.
A completed
expositional study of the book of Genesis with special emphasis on the
great doctrines of the faith: God, man, woman, sin, Sabbath, marriage,
family, labor, civilization, culture, murder, sacrifice, law, races, and
redemption. What was begun in Genesis is fulfilled in
Christ. Fallen man, through the compassion of God, is
restored to the life he forfeited, through the lovingkindness of Christ.

Daniel.
The events of
Daniel cover about 70 years of the history of the Jewish Babylonian exile,
beginning about 605 B.C. Daniel wrote during a time in which
believers faced many of the unique challenges of our own day and time: how
to be faithful to God in a pluralistic setting, how to be light without
losing our saltiness, keeping hope in a time of God's judgment,
persevering under persecution, and how to be principled and gracious at
the same time. Powerful practicality for daily Christian living.

completed expositional study of the Songs of Ascent, or Songs
of Going Up, or Songs of Degrees, or Songs of the
Pilgrim Caravans, sung by the travelers going up to Jerusalem to the

psalm, Psalm 134, as they stood in the sanctuary singing God's praises.

Elijah.
A completed expositional study of Elijah. The story of
Elijah is one of the building blocks in the fulfillment of God's
redemptive plan. Ministering in the darkest moment in the history of
the northern kingdom, Elijah was sent to proclaim the sovereignty of God
in an evil day. In the story of Elijah, we see the basic
conflict between the two kingdoms: the kingdom of Satan and the kingdom of
God, and we will see the kingdom of God destroy the kingdom of darkness.

Job.
The book of Job is
the harrowing story of a man whose life is changed dramatically in the
course of a few short days. It is about the problem of suffering.
Everyone knows what happened to Job, and how he lost everything.
But what does it say about pain and suffering? Does God know about
my pain, and does He even care? What answers to life's problems does
this book give? The answer to the problem is not seen in the comments of
Job's counselors, but more importantly in his response to suffering.
The book of Job teaches us how to respond to difficulties in our lives.
Job's acceptance of his loss is a model of piety. Job never lost
faith. He is a model of cross-bearing and he teaches us to persevere
even in the incomprehensible ways of God in our lives.
